Vision Forum at Bajo Bajio
Vision Forum will present two solo performances in Mexico City during Art Week. On February 6, Carima Neusser will act as a hostess in the performance “Cocktail” where she prepares four types of drinks for the audience. Each drink is connected to a specific time period in dance history (e.g the court of Louis XIV, early Russian modernism etc.). As she serves each drink in a choreographic fashion, she will talk in a personal way about the choreographic era and project seductive images that underline her discourse. She will also link the tastes of the drinks to the sensual expression of the dance.
Just like Neusser creates links between taste, image and bodily movements, Per Huttner creates links between text, sound and the visual. He will present an audio-visual performance, where he uses hypnotic 3D graphics along with his music. The sonic landscape in the performance is taken from naturally occurring sounds: plants, animals and som recordings from some shamanic journeys in Northern Sweden. The first landscapes are first noisy and broken up and gradually become more harmonic and rhythmic. In one part he also uses voices from Haitian voudou.
