Vision Forum at Linnéuniversitet in Växjö
Art and Educational Processes
- October 3, 2016 Linnéuniversitet and Italienska palatset, Växjö
Linnéuniversitet invites you to a seminar on art and educational processes.
Are you interested in with how socially engaged art explores the world and human existence? The international network Vision Forum visits the university and will offer valuable insights to the concepts and processes of contemporary art as well as how this can be integrated into pedagogical work. Special focus will be given to Vision Forum’s project Tomorrow’s Art Audience (Morgondagens konstpublik) which is a research project that investigates how methodologies in contemporary art can be introduced into learning processes among children and the young. The project is focused on developing methods and exercises that support student learning about contemporary art and other subjects in parallel in the classroom, in museums and public spaces. Tomorrow’s Art Audience develops exercises and collects online where educators can easily find and access the information. These exercises can be adapted to different ages, locations and contexts.
The event is open to the public, free of charge and will include both lectures and artistic performances. More information and program here.
