Mahdollista Studio Residency in Copenhagen
We are happy to announce that Jakob Krajcik and Jean Louis Huhta are in residency at Mahdollista Studio in Copenhagen November 23-29 . The two will develop new music inspired by the life of microbes. The working session will be rounded off with a public concert.
Jakob Krajcik (b. 1973) lives and works in Stockholm. Krajcik works with sculpture, painting and music. He has previously collaborated with galleries, such as Peter Bergman and Steinsland Berliner. Models of buildings and interiors are recurring themes in Jakob Krajik’s sculptural works.
Jean-Louis Huhta (b.1965) is a Copenhagen based musician. He has played in various bands going back through the mid 1980s, ranging from punk and art music to grindcore and funk. Huhta began his musical career in the early 1980s as a member of Freddie Wadling’s post-punk band Cortex. He later joined the cult hardcore band Anti Cimex. Since then, he has participated in various groups and experimental art projects. Together with Texas Instruments, he created rhythm-based industrial noise and as a member of the art collective Lucky People Center, he found his way to contemporary dance music.
The residency is supported by Nordic Culture Fund.
